Endodontics refers to the inside (endo) of the teeth (Dönci). The dental pulp is the tissue found inside of the teeth, and is composed of nerves, blood vessels and specialized cells (among others).
Its main function is to form the tooth and, on appeal, to perceive external stimuli. Endodontics, and dental specialty is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp and surrounding tissues affected.
Endodontics can be classified into three types: 
- It unirradicular when it affects a tooth that has a single root and therefore only one pulp canal.
- is birradicular when applied to a tooth with two roots and therefore two pulp canals.
- is multirooted when applied to a tooth that has more than two roots and therefore several pulp canals.
pulpotomy is the treatment of the pulp of deciduous teeth with deep caries showing shrinkage pulp without clinical symptoms or radiological or pulpitis (inflammation) coronary artery. The maintenance of teeth is very important for the normal development of orofacial structures.
